Entrepreneurial learning in extra-curricular start-up programs for students

Purpose This study focuses on extra-curricular start-up programs for students at higher educational institutions. It explores the social and situated learning experiences of who participate in programs, as well how processes outcomes entrepreneurial are potentially shaped by this context. Design/methodology/approach The follows multiple cohorts have participated an program managed three collaborating universities Greater Copenhagen. data been inductively analyzed using semi-structured interviews with project managers during after program, complemented progress reports, observation notes survey data. Findings analysis generates a grounded, theoretically informed process model programs. depicts immersion, comprehension co-participation entrepreneurship practice subsequently enables to expand knowledge structures develop greater self-confidence performing entrepreneurship. identifies interconnected components that trigger among students, which allow them acquire two set competencies: venture creation competencies enterprising competencies. Originality/value findings offer unique insights into relational environment influence shape experience hence filling research void context enterprise activities. also elucidate individual practice.
